Vista Mall Taguig held its early countdown to 2020 with a festive firework show and concert by the OPM band Mayonnaise at the shopping mall’s events ground last night, December 29, 2019.
Residents of Taguig, as well as neighbouring cities, attended the event to watch the concert and fireworks display.
Food kiosks were also available for everyone to enjoy. Lots of food choices from street foods to Filipino cuisine to pasta and pizza, burgers, nachos and a lot more. Also, the price is reasonable.
According to the shopping mall’s Facebook page, the annual New Year Countdown event is held as a gift to all residents of Taguig every Christmas Season.
Law enforcement units and firefighters were deployed inside and outside the venue to ensure the safety of the public during the event.

The whole stretch of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) will be transformed into a huge party place TOMORROW, December 31.
BGC, ABS-CBN, the Taguig City government, Jack Daniel’s and ING, have all worked together to throw the grandest countdown to 2020 in the metro. People can expect non-stop performances by various artists including Jonalyn Viray, Itchyworms, Bamboo, Yeng Constantino, and Billy Crawford. The event also guarantees easy access to the best dining spots and bars in the area.
“We want to bring together the community and their families to celebrate and thank them for the success of the year that was. As we welcome 2020 together, we’ve prepared a lineup of artists and performances that will make each and everyone feel at home, excited, and joyous for what’s about to come,” said Sean Luarca, BGC’s Marketing and Community Relations Manager.
Taguig’s countdown to 2020 will kick off with a Holy Mass at 6 p.m.
