The Recidencia Del Hamor opens beachfront in Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon

During our trip to Bicol, we spent a wonderful time at The Residencia Del Hamor Beach Front located in San Sebastian, Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon—one of Bicol’s hottest tourist destinations.

This Mediterranean-inspired beachside property is the coastal counterpart to the verdant Recidencia Del Hamor in the foothills of Mt. Bulusan in Casiguran. We also stayed here for a few nights, and I have written about it in a separate blog.

We arrived at the Recidencia Del Hamor Beach Front after an hour’s ride from Casiguran. Coming through the gate, I could see the coconut trees swinging in the breeze and the tiny waves lapping up on the blue beach. The scenery is breathtaking, and you can not but be impressed.

To our left is the two-tiered restaurant and function hall which has an interesting architecture. To me, it looks like a “Bangka”, a native watercraft of the Philippines. It keeps a fairly tidy color scheme with transparent wall panels and blue beam accents. We enjoyed our welcoming beverages at the base of this vessel-like building.

The rooms are situated adjacent to the function hall.

The modern suites open to a modest balcony with a table and two chairs. All the rooms have a stunning view of the white sand and sparkling sea.

However, between the balcony and the sea, lies a dark blue pool that, when viewed from above, gives the property a striking color.
