The 8th Big Bite Northern Mindanao Food Festival officially opened its summer-themed fair in Ayala Malls Centrio to guests at 10 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2022.
The annual gastronomic adventure, which features Northern Mindanao “foodpreneurs”, farmers, artisans, brewers, chefs, and local business owners, is back in action this year with more exhibitors, a bigger partnership with Grab Food, and an eager crowd to #TakeABigBiteAtCentrio2022!
Over the last 8 years, people living in and coming from outside Cagayan De Oro have attended the festival, making a difference economically in the city.
Ayala Malls Centrio and local tourism invite you to this food festival to enjoy its diverse offerings—interactive experiences for the entire family, live music, local flavors – Filipino cuisine combined with different culinary traditions—and discover other homegrown favorites that showcase what Northern Mindanao has to offer!

Known for their chili garlic sauce, KITMON is a condiments shop that prides itself on sourcing high-quality fresh ingredients that offer powerful health-boosting benefits.






Loretta’s empanada is a 1950s recipe from the Mortola-Castaños family that has been handed down through generations. They sell empanadas on a pre-order basis. You have to order a day before. They make batches every MWF.




Love Evo is a dessert shop known for its French Macarons, Japanese Cheesecakes, and best-selling roll cakes.







Pagmayâ Chocolate is a craft chocolate made locally in Cagayan De Oro City, with cacao beans from Libona Bukidnon. Must-try: 45g (80%) intense dark chocolate cacao nibs (Php 105).




Oh my God!!! This is probably my favorite dessert shop although I must say it’s challenging because I am on a full keto diet… so basically, I am taking time to eat their cookies because of the portion size… Gotta limit my sugar… BUT WAAAAH Super sarap ng EXPRESSO CHOCOLATE Cookie… AND the price is just Php35!!!! I swear you guys have to try this cookie and tell me if I am exaggerating !!!
Sweet Lane doesn’t have a physical store but they bake regularly and you can easily order through their IG and FB accounts or phone numbers. They offer cakes, cookies, no-bake cheesecakes, and other desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.

HOMEMADE TREATS


The Grateful Baker is a bread and pastry shop that specializes in premium delectable ensaymada. Their shop is located at 20-23rd St., Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City.




Fermented hot sauce made with freshly handpicked peppers available in every heat level you probably prefer. Some of their best-sellers: Classic (Php180); Mango Habanero (Php160); Spiced Caribbean (Php160); Potion No.6 (dessert hot sauce) (Php180); Pineapple Slush (Php 160); Salsa Verde (Php 160).

Italia Deli sells whole & retail cuts of cheeses & delis imported from Italy and other parts of Europe. They supply items to restos & pizza houses and do grazing as well. I loved the prosciutto I got from them and the Gruyère cheese.
BTW 250g of the Gruyere cheese at Italia Deli was at Php500 plus BUT it is worth it… so much better than the 200-peso Gruyere block at the Centrio Marketplace haha sorry not sorry to say!

These coffee beans were grown from Mt. Apo, Brgy. Managa, Purok Malipayon, Bansalan, Davao Del Sur – and processed by the famous coffee farmer Edmer Malik… Mr. Malik processes his coffee in Anaerobic Fermenting at a controlled temperature and day before putting it in raised beds.
