Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you’re all enjoying a fantastic day filled with love and laughter, surrounded by family and friends. Today, I’d like to share highlights from another festive holiday party I attended in December 2024.

I always look forward to the annual Cebu Bloggers Society (CBS) Christmas party. For the past two years, I’ve celebrated this special occasion with my amazing community here in Cebu City. CBS is Cebu’s premier organization for bloggers, influencers, and content creators. This year, while there wasn’t a specific theme for the party, we were encouraged to wear emerald green, Christmas red, or pearl white—perfect colors for the festive season!

For the event, I chose an outfit from Zara and Stradivarius that I bought at Ayala Center Cebu. The pants fit perfectly for my athletic, “rectangular” body shape, giving a nice flattering effect at the waist. I paired it with a green muscle sleeve top from Zara, which enhanced my upper body shape and beautifully highlighted my shoulders and arms. If you share my body type, I highly recommend Zara tops and high-waisted pants for a stylish look!

Now, back to the party!

It was held at SOMAC Korean Buffet located in SM Seaside Skypark, which co-presented this year’s event.

I’m excited to share that at least 40 CBS members attended, and our community continues to grow, reaching 56 active members this year! If you’re interested in becoming a member of CBS, click here for more information.

The evening was hosted by Marco Yambao of Chibugan Kini, who kicked off with opening remarks from Glyth of Cebuana Diaries. We had an introduction of new members, officers, and existing members presented by Leylan. Kim Charlie, our past president, delivered the financial report, followed by greetings from the SOMAC marketing team, represented by Joem Saling. We also got a glimpse of the 2025 plans and social media targets presented by Janine, known as Off-Duty Mama, who is the current president of CBS.

Here are some photos I took and also borrowed from fellow bloggers:

The party included fun games and exciting raffle draws.

I was crossing my fingers to win the plane tickets, but I was happy with the Grab credits and some other gift certificates and goodie bags, thanks to our wonderful sponsors: Cebu Pacific Air, Grab Philippines, Maya, HONOR, Universal Robina Corporation, Mezzo Hotel, and Selrahco Hatasu.

We also had a delightful exchange of gifts!

I received a lovely pouch from Rustan’s from my new blogger friend, Retlyn. It’s amazing how much we connect online, but this was our first time speaking in person, and I really enjoyed it. It turns out we share a mutual friend and met at a baby shower for CeeJane and Marc, proving just how small the world can be!

As for the restaurant, this was my first time dining at SOMAC for dinner. I had previously visited for lunch when I treated my clinic staff to their Korean buffet. SOMAC has quickly become a go-to spot in SM Seaside Skypark, offering over 100 authentic Korean dishes. If you love Korean food, you must check it out! Lunch is priced at 799 PHP, while dinner is 999 PHP, and they also offer Filipino favorites.

We wrapped up the night with closing remarks from Mark Monta, the founder of CBS, and of course with a classic Filipino tradition—a group photo!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to bond and share laughs with others in the industry. I’m also super excited about what 2025 has in store for us, and I can’t wait to be a productive member of CBS!

Wishing you all a joyful holiday season filled with love and laughter. Remember, let’s continue to support and uplift one another in our blogging journey!
