Being a mom has given me a greater appreciation for all mothers especially for my own. What mothers do to raise their children—their tasks/chores/responsibilities/sacrifices—is truly admirable.

So this Mother’s Day, it only seems fitting to celebrate them—all the maternal figures in our life—reflecting on the wonderful ways they impact our lives. Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show our appreciation by giving them something they will love.

Mother’s Day falls on a Sunday, May 12th this year. If you ask me about what to give them, how about gorgeous flowers from Flower Chimp or a treat to a spa. I blogged about the total pampering experience I recently had with Pyoor Spa in Diliman, Quezon City. Their signature 24k gold facial is still on its introductory price.

Or if you want something memorable, take them to Timberland Sports and Nature Club in San Mateo, Rizal.

Timberland Sports and Nature Club has put together a Luau dedicated for all moms.

Luau is a traditional Hawaiian party so on May 12, at 5PM – 9PM, you can expect a festive night of grass skirts, flower shirts, tropical delights, and dancing as live music fills the starry sky!

I experienced an intimate dinner at Timberland Sports and Nature Club with fellow bloggers and family last weekend. We ate at The Garden, aptly named because of its location. It’s in the garden a few steps away from the pool area.

For our dinner, Chef Joel Cunanan prepared the following dishes: braised pork knuckles, fried tinapa rice, kare-kare, tinumok, sinigang salmon belly, sisig nachos, baked salmon—all of which were gorgeously and delectably prepared, guaranteeing good flavor. I think those who’ve been to the property will tell you to not doubt the quality of meals at Timberland Sports and Nature Club. And now I’m telling you so!

Aside from food, I also enjoyed the view of the night lights from skyscrapers and other buildings in the not so distant metro. will create a memory. My friend perfectly captured the fireworks display happening from afar while we were dining.

I can’t help but feel excited about the Luau party on May 12. I bet Timberland Sports and Nature Club will go to great lengths not only to impress but to sincerely give the best night for all mothers and guests.
