The newly opened BRKD CAFE is a long-awaited upgrade from a concept mobile cafe/bar to an “operational shop” that benefits coffee enthusiasts in the neighbourhood of Angono AND the local coffee industry as well.
When I first visited this cafe, I was with my friend Lady (who is a COFFEE EXPERT). We decided to try out their coffee after a long workout at our gym, Pound for Pound Fitness Angono. We were both happy to know that this cafe serves a selection of non-coffee and coffee drinks, with emphasis on local coffee varieties from Benguet, Kalinga, Sagada, and Sultan Kudarat. Some of the best Arabica coffee in the Philippines comes from the provinces of Benguet and Sagada, so if you haven’t tried or if you have but you miss these varieties, you can definitely try them out here hot, cold, or ice-blended!
While waiting for our coffee, I chatted with one of the owners (who is also preparing our order—if I am not mistaken her name is Ren, short for Lorraine(?)). I found that they started this business as a mobile bar and cafe. They cater to events like weddings, birthdays, and conferences, so technically, they are not new to the business. They named the cafe BRKD, shortened Tagalog word for “Barkada” or “group of friends” in English, aiming to bring friends closer over countless cups of coffee.

Longganisa Meal at Brkd Cafe |
But again, there are other things on their menu worth a try. You can order rice meals – for one. I recommend the ILOCOS LONGGANISA (Ilocano sausage delicacy with garlic and spices) which costs Php98 per order. If you like chicken, you can order their best-seller Patis-Kalamansi Chicken (fried chicken marinated in fish sauce and lime) at Php99 per order or Buffalo wings at Php160.

For merienda or afternoon snack favourites, you can try mais or saging con yelo at Php60. I have yet to try their Banana Rhuma (Php60), but I bet it’s good too!
They also have Kani and tuna salad at Php90 per order, also tuna and ham sandwiches for the same price. If you like pasta, you can order spaghetti in tomato sauce or pesto or carbonara, Php120 per order.
Like in most cafes, BRKD cafe has finger food: fries, nachos, cheese sticks, dynamite, sizzling corn, hotdogs, tofu, chicken skin. You can pair this with non-coffee or alcoholic drinks: milk tea, fruit shake, bottled beer or cocktails.

Enjoy these comfort food and drinks for take away or dine in. Spend an hour or so comfortably within a cozy interior—inside with warm, earth-hued furnishings and soft lighting that all create a pleasant ambience. You’d also be delighted to know that the staff here are as warm, pleasant, and welcoming as the interiors.

Guys… they have a private restroom 🙂 |
It’s a great place to unwind or catch up on some work (with your laptop coz they have wifi connection and power outlets). In my case, I drop by here after my weekday workout for a nice cup of cappuccino ☕️
Again, if you want a nice cup of coffee or a cozy cafe, hang out here with family, friends or even with your pets. This cafe is pet friendly!!!
